In attendance: William Dougherty, chiar and scribe-NI&S; Brian Long-SETI; Steve Cox-CCS; Richard Quintin-ES/DBAA; Lucas Sullivan-UCS; Jean Plymale-CTSSR; Brian Jones-CNS.
TLOS: TLOS has no maintenance or upgrades scheduled for the next 30 days.
ES/DBAA: Web Services & Development will be deploying version 1.5.9 of My VT Accounts this coming Wednesday 3/11/2015 at 7am. This is mostly a maintenance release. The only functional changes are minor changes to the Oracle Service Account Manager module. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
CTSSR: Would like to remind everyone that IT is expected to conduct and document continuity testing, exercises and/or drills annually. I can help document those events. Maybe as a group we could determine a good test, exercise or drill to be conducted sometime after June? Something is scheduled for this Friday, 3/13/15. Details will be revealed at the next meeting.
Any group that is brining new services online, modifying existing services, or changing backup or recovery processes should consider working the testing into a drill to involve Jean Plymale and have this documented. (For example, when we begin backing up to VTCRI, and recovery tests are performed from this location, this would be good to document.)
NI&S QA: IT Service Catalog work and correlate need to provide statuses for those services defined.
UCS: MS Student Advantage is online; will become only option next Tuesday, March 17th, 2015.
CCS: As part of cleanup after Exchange debacle, the server that was impacted had been set to circular logging and this must change. This will require the DB to be unmounted and remounted, so brief downtime this Saturday, March 14th, 2015 at 5am. Patching will be done per normal procedures.
SETI/QA: Middleware new release of E.D. (4.0) may move forward faster. Likely to go to PREPROD next week (exact date will be posted on the calendar). Look and feel sohuld be the same, but background has changed. At least a month of testing will be conducted before scheduling for PRODUCTION.
