  1. Install gpg on Windows
  2. Create a key (or import your own pre-existing key)
    1. Basic: Generating a new key (Windows GUI)
    2. Advanced: Generating a New Key
  3. Establish a base web of trust

Recommended steps

  1. Use an OpenPGP key for ssh authentication
    1. Create an authentication subkey (command line only)
    2. PuTTY and Gpg4win
    3. Add your public key to servers you want to ssh into (i. e. Tell Laurie about your new key)
  2. Setup your mail client
  3. Setup a smartcard (e. g. a Yubikey)
