Before you can join the Virginia Tech Business Intelligence community for sharing information on utilizing MicroStrategy on Campus, you must go through the following steps.

Step-by-step guide (Reading completely before starting helps!)

1. Go to the SharePoint Online link and follow the directions on getting started with SharePoint (Except for Step 3!).

You do not need to perform step 3 on the getting started instructions, return to the next step here to continue.

This will activate your sharepoint license and will only need to be completed once.

2. Go to the BI Hub link and sign on with your PID@w2k.vt.edu.

You must have w2k in your sign on name!

3. As soon as you enter your PID@w2k.vt.edu, you will be forwarded to an Active Directory Authentication Screen where you type in your HOKIES password (NOT your PID password!):

Remember this is your HOKIES Password and include the w2k in your ID.

4. You will see a screen for you to request access to the BI-HUB. Enter a short message and send the email request.

5. The request will be approved ASAP for you to gain access.

When you get to the BI Hub, click "FOLLOW" in the upper right corner and the site will be available whenever you select Sites on SharePoint.
