CNS: (added after the meeting through e-mail from Brian Jones) No any major network interruptions at this time. The building edge and distribution equipment upgrades will continue as they have been to keep ahead if the UC project and will be announced though VT-DNET as usual.

Enterprise Systems has the following work planned:
-Sunday, 2/5/12 -- 8am - 10am PROD, FPRD, WPRD, RODB migrate to new SAN and refresh RODB. (Data must be moved from the old SAN to the new in order to send back the equipment which was used as a trade-in for the new SAN.)
-Sunday, 3/4/12 -- Not sure out outage time yet - Upgrade to Oracle 11.2.0.3 and Banner upgrade. Will have a time later, after PREPROD is tested.
-A Rhythmix (CMS) upgrade this spring (maybe during Spring Break) is also being scheduled....Russ Fenn can comment further when time is closer.

IT Facilities proposes a manual transfer load on the data center generators on Sunday, February 19th, from 8am. to 8:45am. So far no dissent; is on Critical Dates.

Systems Support; Storage Management Team: NAS upgrades still seeking dates. Reboots will be required for some tasks. Probably will approach in phases to minimize downtime. One phase to remove older drives (which Exchange uses); one to update firmware on drives. Later firmware update on motherboard will also require a reboot. May try to do both reboots at the same time. Then upgrade the OS; maybe later after graduation in May as this *could* be the most disruptive of all the tasks. Moving from 32 to 64 bit. Further discussions will ensue in order to nail down specific dates.

Data Center Manager: UPS for new power feed has been delivered. Will require power down for the UV and HokieSpeed, so this is being coordinated. Date yet to be determined.

SETI: Some small CAS maintenance was performed this morning. CRL (Cert Revocation List) will be adjusted this Friday.

A proposal for announcing scheduled maintenance to the public was put forward by Susan. (See attachment on this page.) Please review this and discuss with your staff and then be prepared to discuss at February's meeting.
