Agenda

Meeting notes are in blue.
  1. Audit update?

No new news, however, Frank said IA indicated to him they would try to have the interim report to us by the end of the month (May 2007).

  2. Status of PDC documentation
    A) Installers & instructions

How do I install the Aladdin eToken software for IE6 or IE7 on Windows XP?
How do I install the Aladdin eToken software for Mozilla or Firefox on Windows XP?
How do I install the Aladdin eToken software for Netscape 7.2/8.x on Windows XP?
How do I install the Aladdin eToken software for Mozilla or Firefox on PowerPC Mac OS 10.3/10.4?
How do I install the Aladdin eToken Run Time Environment (RTE) 3.60 software in Linux?

With the exception of the 'Linux' instructions the other installation instructions are complete, online on the eProv dev server, and awaiting approval from Mary & Greg to move to the production PKI website http://www.pki.vt.edu/pdc.

Kim proposed to do a survey, targeted at specific IT Linux users, to gage the use of PDCs on Linux systems and determine the need for more and better installation instructions, at this time. Those present thought it would be fine to proceed with the survey.

    B) Websites

    Current production pki website http://www.pki.vt.edu/pdc
    Current development website http://www.dev.pki.vt.edu/pdc
Susan's website strategy and mock-up page Strategy & Mock-up for PDC Related Web Pages

  3. Status of form for "vouching" for someones identity.
  4. Proposed web page for requesting certificate revocation
  5. Lost or Stolen eToken

Note: Both topics above are combined in the following discussion.
Greg is to fix the referenced URLs in the copy edited at today's meeting and send to Frank to put on the dev PKI website.
Some questions that arose while editing this document:

  6. Other

An idea to consider is self service revocation.
The User CPS does not disallow it.
If all users are asked the same set of questions (verification) and it always ends in the same result (revocation) then self service revocation is fine and a convenience for the user.
