- NI&S SMT: NAS event this weekend:
The Virginia Tech Network-Attached Storage (NAS) cluster system is scheduled for on operating system upgrade between 12:01 a.m. and 8 a.m., Saturday, November 12, 2016.
Services interrupted during the upgrade:
• Exchange
• Mystore and Mystore2 – no access to Windows roaming profiles.
• Department shares on the NAS
• VT Confluence
• JIRA
• Banner Document Management System/Application Xtender
Some of these services may not be directly impacted, but may use the time to conduct other maintenance activities (such as Exchange is planning to perform firmware maintenance during this period).

• Scholar
• NLI registration system
Old Ensemble Content Management System-AEM not impacted
Web Hosting
• All hosted websites
• MySQL Databases associated with hosted websites
- DBAA: Banner maintenance on Sunday; regular Fall upgrade (assuming NAS upgrade is complete). Is on SAMS calendar. There are testers who are experiencing issues so this may be delayed. Check SAMS calendar for dates that cannot impact Banner (Dec 8th-11th is first; next one is March).
- NI&S UAS: Cascades has a maintenance outage today. Intel recommended changes are being performed. Likely available earlier afternoon.
- DC Management: Annual maintenance on the UPS are due. Nov 20th and 27th are possibilities.
- NI&S CNO: Building Aggregation Router in Burruss will impact some areas during maintenance window tomorrow morning. Was announced on VT-DNET.
