Note-Need to inform ITSO on location change; call in possibilities?
DBAA-No updates
SMT-Still need a firmware update on VNX SAN in Cassell; a 4 hour window is needed. Looking at either 26 September or 28 October. Services affected would mostly be standby databases, so production impact would be minimal. This will be verified.
Exchange databases being moved to new storage first week of October. If that goes well, rest of data from older NAS equipment will be moved later in October, into November.
CTSSR-IT Risk Assessment due December 1. Some issues with vendor lists for NI&S, but working through that.
IMS-No updates
CCS-Exchange 2013, week of October 6th. Migration will take awhile. Impacts will be felt. MS Engineer will be on site. Android phones and active/sync may be an issue, requiring a profile deletion and recreation. A list will be provided to UCS regarding migration candidates for taking phone calls.
DCM-Next load transfer test for generators late November; this will include UPS maintenance as well, so they will be in bypass. Managed to calculate a PUE of 1.6! (PUE=Power usage effectiveness).
UCS-ServiceNow still scheduled for deployment for the Help Desk on Friday, September 12th. Only the web interface will change for now; service partners will continue to use Remedy. Users will be able to check status of ticket y logging in to SN and updates to their tickets will be sent via email. Complete roll-out of SN will be a multi-year project.
SBG-Request for Russ and Michael Hosig; can we get end-of-term processing on the SAMS calendar? Also discussed an affiliation
CNS PR-SN announcement will be made on Friday. SharePoint Online forum will be held September 22nd in Alumni Hall at the Inn 10am-12noon. ICIC announcements have been queued (Copyright Infringement notices).
CNS CNO-Maintenance tomorrow will include switch software updates throughout several buildings. Buildings to be impacted were included in the vt-DNET note that went out. This will be during the regular maintenance window. Not all buildings listed will happen simultaneously, but all are expected to complete tomorrow.
