  • CCS: Patch Tuesday was yesterday; no scheduled maintenance this weekend.
  • CNS-PR-Jeff Kidd: SSL v3 will no longer be supported for RAS/VPN.  TLS is supported, so should be transparent to users. Effective 9am, 2/11/16.
  • UCS-Lucas S.: S/N upgraded from one Hot Fix to another. No apparent issues.
  • App Admin/NI&S-Laurie Z.: Updated DNS and DHCP final servers. Two functions now run on separate servers. COLA went to 2Factor auth this morning.
  • CNS-Brain Jones: A lot of blocking to protect SMTP.
  • ITSO-Brad Tilley: Compromised computers are root cause of SMTP issues which have caused blacklisting of VT.EDU. 90+ exceptions. 2/15/16 scheduled for outbound limitations. This will force users to use central services. Long-term goal is to perform rate limiting on outbound mail to attempt to control the VT.EDU domain from being placed on Blacklists.
  • SETI/Middleware-Brian L.: LDAP cypher change due Monday, and an InCommon metadata update. This will likely cause replication delays during maintenance window (5am-7am). Password changes, etc., may be delayed. 2/15/16
  • DC Mgr-Mike Moyer: A/C repair persons due in today. Generator transfer test still needs to be scheduled.
