DBAA: The Web Hosting is now 2FA! There will be a migration of the Web Hosting request form from TeamDynamix to ServiceNow.
SIS-Middleware: The host identifier for GitLab is to change to Code.vt.edu perhaps as early as next Monday; really just a name change now. Some downtime over next two days. Old name will still work. Will soon allow for collaboration with InCommon participating universities.
CCS: MS Patch Tuesday will result in patching this weekend on AD 5am-12noon; Weboutlook.vt.edu certificate is being updated. (This is what caused the performance impact last Friday.) Header too large issue; a diagnostics header has been added by MS at each hop, but this "feature" will be removed this weekend.
TLOS: WebEx needs to be updated due a critical update. Date TBD.
NII: Minor power shutdown on Plantation road today. Will affect very little; perhaps the lights on top of the Blue Light phones, but not the phones themselves.
DCP & NI&S AM: VT Alerts maintenance is scheduled. Times and dates withheld for security purposes. New servers will be installed and new code will also be deployed week of 8/21/17.
DCP: Time for Quarterly generator testing. Will be scheduled for this Sunday, August 13th.
NEO: MLD snooping was enabled to assist with IPv6 and printers. This triggered bugs in some equipment; has impacted Slack usage for example. Any issues should be reported to 4Help.
Question about NAS and IPv6. When will it be enabled for IPv6? Changes are underway which could lead to this sooner than later. This will be on the agenda for further discussion and information sharing at next month's meeting.
