This report shows means ratings for each college, department, and course.

Responses are collected on a six-point scale, where 1 = strongly disagree and 6 = strongly agree.  Higher ratings are better. 

Security settings impact what you see!  The report includes only those departments that are associated with your personal access settings.

What information is provided on the default view?
 

College & Departments tab

Default view shows department and college means for a given question.  It is sorted by department, college, and term within question. Use the GROUPING option (top of the report) to select the question.

Section Count indicates the number of class sections participating in the SPOT process.

Participants is a count of students who responded to one or more of the standard questions.

Participation Rate is calculated by dividing the number of actual participants by the number of possible participants.

Department Mean represents the average rating in a department.

College Mean represents the average rating in a college.

College & Departments (Course Level) tab

Section Count (Course Level) is a count of sections offered in the department or college at the given course level.

Participants (Course Level) is a count of students who responded to one or more of the standard questions.

Participation Rate is calculated by dividing the actual participants by the possible participants at the given course level.

Department Mean (Course Level) is the average rating in a department at the given course level.

College Mean (Course Level) is the average rating in a college at the given course level.
