Thoughts on locating the appropriate contact for an on-campus host.

  • Short term, it may be better for the security lab to open a ticket based on
    IP address and let the VTOC do the location in cases where we do not have a public tool.

IP address assigned to a department

  • Contact the NL.
  • IPR query page can be used, but we need to create a remote API.

DHCP

  • DHCP log tool and/or HC can provide MAC address.
  • DHCP Registration Tool can provide registered PID, but that may not be accurate.
  • Need to create remote API.
  • Need client management interface for DHCP.

AGW managed (wireless)

  • query tool unknown.

TACACS+ managed (modem pool, vpn)
