Meeting Notes
- New business for RLAN phase 2
- There are 21 total active users currently on the RLAN.
- Controllers office in North End Center is preparing to join the RLAN. Ron reports that the building is all wired and RLAN ports need to be ordered via CNS Ordering and Provisioning.
- ITSO estimates about 90 users from the Controllers will join the RLAN by the end of 2014.
- Some "technical issues" still need to be worked out in order to use the UC phones for an RLAN connection. Action item: Ron will talk with Phil Benchoff and other CNS personnel about testing the UC phone lines with/for RLAN. Randy commented that Scott Midkiff would like to know the results of this testing.
- The Bursars office is waiting to see how reliable the RLAN is before joining. This office already uses virtual machines for their daily work so their transition to the RLAN should be easier.
- For RLAN phase 2 all traffic is untagged.
