- Status updates
- ITSO Update:
- The Gigamon 420 located in the ISB has been upgraded (additional interfaces installed).
Both FireEyes have been racked in CG48. One is operational, the other will be by the 15th.
Both StoneGate IPS’s are racked and waiting on vendor to send technician to assist with install Nitro SIEM is up and running with a few data feeds. More data feeds to come.
FireEyes will be ready to be placed in-line between RLAN and campus by the 15th.
The switch is needed online before full management connectivity is available.
- The Gigamon 420 located in the ISB has been upgraded (additional interfaces installed).
- NI&S Update:
Current
The firewall and switch have been racked in ISB. 10 Gig blade has been installed in CAS-6509.
Today (6/8/2012)
VPN servers will be racked in ISB.
All ISB network components will be powered up and fiber jumpers installed.
Tue next week (6/12/2012)
Addresses will be placed on equipment and become reachable over the network.
Caveats
The 10Gig links from gigimon in ISB will not be connected to ISB-6509-2 until we upgrade that chassis. That schedule is dependent on upgrades to the CAS- wireless 6509s. The upgrade to ISB-6509-2 will require a complete campus to internet outage.
The upgrades and 10gig links should be completed before the July 4th weekend.
The RLAN is a 1 gig network, so the 10gig connects are more for the IDS/IPS system and would not prevent the RLAN from being functional.
- ITSO Update:
- Future project meetings
- Every 2 weeks (as needed, cancel as necessary)
- Briefing for Erv on July 25. 2012
- Show architectural diagrams
- Review what is already done and what has not been completed
- Will have limited bandwidth to begin and will be expanded later
- ITSO will demo their client options
- Marc will demo a thin client option
