ED 3.2 deployment to preproduction: November 1 (Tuesday) No time yet announced, but expect to finish by 7am.
ED 3.2 deployment to production: November 29 (Tuesday)
The most notable change will be that student PIDs and email addresses created via PIDGen after the deployment will be suppressed by default. Also, the DAT view for the Call Center and 4Help staff will now display a user's account recovery options. Will work with UCS to demo this change. Impact on end of month/first of month activity should be minimal as these processes are mainly financial.
CAS deployment to production: December 8
This deployment will support Guest Account logins and a workflow for forgotten passwords.

- LT and DBAA asked about how this is supposed to be coordinated considering the university is closed that week.
- Wanda will work with the support groups and the vendor to ascertain the best possible date to accomplish this task.
- Ron Jarrell's E-Communications Services group is still planning and coordinating with other affected groups concerning the Office365 migration. Much of the actual cutovers may not happen until next summer at this point due to problems with Vendors delivery of parts of the solution and contract negotiation issue.
- Tim Rhodes' UNIX Administration Services group are continuing to work mostly with ARC and HPC systems, trying to find resources to work on the HokieSpeed and SGI systems implementation. None of their work should be affecting active production systems as it looks right now.
- CNS: There are no major planned Network upgrades that we foresee at this time from the Network Engineering group.
- The CATV coax to fiber upgrade continues across campus with minimal interruptions in the university CATV programming at scheduled cut over intervals.
- Susan Brooker-Gross asks about the announced maintenance windows. Where are these? Should the publication of these be coordinated?
- Chair will endeavor to gather this info and publish it for comment. (SS-M thru Sat 3am-7am/Sun 3am-3pm; Data Network-Tues/Thurs 5am-7am; Voice-12mid thru 5am; LT?)
- DCSS: October 25th, 2011
